How to Clean the Magnifying Pod?

  • Blow dirt or dust off the surface. Use air or water to remove dirt before you begin to clean.
– You can use canned air to blow dirt off of the pod’s surface, or drip water onto the surface that picks up the dirt and allows you to float it off.
– If you use water, blot the magnifying pod dry with a microfiber cloth after the dirt has come up.Don’t rub surface with the microfiber cloth, it may cause scratches
  • Use clear water to clean lightly soiled magnifying pod. If FloraScope still needs a bit of cleaning after you’ve removed the top layer of dust and dirt, use clear water to clean it.
– Use a dry microfiber cloth to blot the surface dry
– Repeat the process of dropping water onto the surface and blot it dry with a microfiber cloth.
  • Avoid using dusting cloths. These types of cloths can trap particles that won’t seem big to the naked eye, but will scratch the magnifying pod.
  • Following cleaners are Not recommended for cleaning.
– Aerosol cleaners. Don’t use aerosol cleaners on our magnifying pod. The chemicals in those cleaners can eat through the pod.
– Alcohol based products. Never use alcohol or alcohol based products to clean as this will cause damage.
– Glass cleaning products. Don’t use glass products to clean the magnifying pod. It may cause a cloudy appearance.
  • Use a non-abrasive cleaner on dirtier magnifying pod. If you’re washing particularly dirty or outside-facing the pod, mix equal parts non-abrasive cleaner and water to make a cleaning solution. Then dip a microfiber cloth in the solution and gently blot the pod’s surface clean.

– Good non-abrasive cleaners for this type of cleaning are castile soap, baby shampoo, or cleaners specifically designed and suitable for plastics ( see remark separately )

  1.

Remark : Use cleaners specifically designed and suitable for plastics – please check cleaner such as Woolite, Dreft or Brillianize.
